“The operator said they were experiencing a major problem with their cell phone network, and asked if I could take a look at it,” said a customer who wished to remain anonymous.
“I’ve got 4.5 million Australian phones in my house.
I just want to check how many are down.”
The problem has also been noted by the ABC in a report published today, which found that a quarter of Australians’ mobile internet lines had been down in the past two months, and that this is likely to continue for some time.
“We have been inundating calls from Australians who have lost their cellphones and other services, which we know were impacted by the old mobile internet network,” the department said in a statement.
“This is likely a problem for some period of time.
This is the first time we have seen this in the Australian telecommunications market and the first in this part of the world.”
It is our intention to fix the problem as quickly as possible, as we have been told that some services are not up to scratch, or that services are degraded.
“The department has been asked to provide an estimate of how long it will take to fix all the issues, and said that it would be a priority to ensure that everyone is getting a speedy, free internet service.”
In order to fix any problem, we must identify which service has been affected, and which have not,” the statement said.”
As soon as we do, we will be able to provide a cost-effective and timely response to all calls to the Department, as well as provide a detailed analysis of what is causing the problem.

The old mobile network was not working as intended, and is now in need of upgrading,” the spokesman said.
