A woman has died after her baby son was found to have cancer.

Her baby son, now five, died in hospital on Friday after he developed pneumonia.
The baby was taken to St Thomas’ Hospital in the City of London and died.
Her husband, a doctor, said the family was devastated by the news.
“We are devastated by this tragic news and our prayers are with the bereaved family,” Dr Martin McAleese told the Irish Times.
“I have had no indication that anything had been amiss in the course of his life and the circumstances of his death have left us devastated.”
He said the woman had a long history of cancer and had received chemo treatments for the disease, which began in her mid-70s.
“The family are devastated, they will continue to be until the end,” he said.
“They have a long way to go.”
It is a terrible thing to lose a loved one and we want to make sure that we get through it.
“The infant died of a heart attack, a medical examiner said.
